BRECKENRIDGE MUSIC UNVEILS MOBILE AIRSTAGE FOR 2021 SUMMER EVENT SEASON

Retrofitted Iconic 1975 Airstream Trailer Brings Music, Art and Joy back

to Breckenridge and Greater Summit County

Breckenridge Music in partnership with its umbrella organization Breckenridge Creative Arts, takes concerts outside, on the road and into your neighborhood with its new mobile stage, the AirStage. Silver Bullet Trailers retrofitted the 1975 Airstream Ambassador Travel Trailer to accommodate a 14.5-foot wide by 9-foot-deep stage.

Performances at the AirStage will include neighborhood concerts, family-friendly programming, artist residencies and special donor events as well as programming that supports Breckenridge Music Festival and the Breck Music Presents series. Events by and large will be free with the goal of connecting neighbors within the communities of Breckenridge. For the 2021 season, Breck Music is planning almost two dozen AirStage events and has partnered with six nonprofits for original programming and activations.

“Breck Music is thrilled to give its neighbors the opportunity to safely gather together beneath the spectacular 10-Mile Range,” says Tamara Nuzzaci Park, executive director of Breck Music. “It allows us to overcome many of the barriers we face in terms of delivering on our mission in more traditional spaces.”

Breck Music’s vision imagines a community where everyone discovers, experiences, values and is connected by the power of music. To accomplish that goal, the organization programs diverse and high-quality live music performances and broad-based community music education.

The main charm of the AirStage rests in the idea of intimacy. Events will feel like sitting around the campfire with fellow community members and the performers all under the influence of Breckenridge’s telltale historic charm. AirStage experiences could be as personal as five people or as grand as 250, next to the Blue River or in the center of town.

Breck Music will follow all state and county health guidelines to ensure the safety of event attendees. Up-to-date and event-specific information will be posted to breckmusic.org. Blankets and folding chairs are encouraged to help make the concert experience more comfortable.

The AirStage summer 2021 season encompasses a wide range of events that will feature a wide range of talent, including Breck Music Gold Fest, a fundraiser headlined by country artist Pat Green. Other highlights include FamJams, family-friendly events that include music, crafts and interactive art for kids of all ages, and Bike-Ins, outdoor movies in partnership with Breck Film.

Breck Music may be most excited for the Breck Music Block Parties featuring the AirStage. These small, community gatherings will occur across four weekends in Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne and the north side of Summit County. Block parties will be headlined by regional singer-songwriters, indie folk artists, an African-inspired roots-and-blues act as well as a weekend residency planned with Denver non-profit Youth on Record.  Events will be free, rain-or-shine.
